Day 1 of Day 100

Our 3rd family trip is booked and our departure date is September 5th. Exactly 100 days away. Vegas baby -- here we come. We have a timeshare at the Grandsview, so this will be the first year we are using our luxury one-bedroom condo equipped with a full kitchen. Makes meal planning easier and more enjoyable, especially with a three year old.

So I thought this would be a good time frame - to keep the consistency with my workouts and meal plans and blog about it. So here is Day 1 of Day 100. Today I did Quads, Calves and Hamstrings at the gym. We are talking Barbell Squats, Stiff-legged Dead lifts, Walking lunges, Leg Extensions, Leg curls and weighted and non-weight calf raises. 3-4 sets of each exercise at 12-15 reps. I could feel the burn as I followed up with 30 minutes of cardio. 20 minutes on the EFX and 10 minutes on the bike. I wanted to do the cross-trainer but with my upper body workout for back and biceps yesterday I knew getting through even the warm-up portion would be a struggle. This way, using the EFX I could completely focus on my lower body and give my back a break. It needed it :D

I have to really sit down and put together a meal plan and stick to it. Get it all down and really prepare my foods for the day, each and everyday. This way I will not stray away and get in a few extra nibbles of anything else. Need to get my macros all under control. Nutrition has to be clean if I want to reap the nbenefits of all teh hard work I am putting in at the gym.

  1. Hi Nancy

Great to see you have this goal date! Good for you. What are the specifics of your goals? How much fat loss, muscle gain, etc.? Do you have something to focus on, to drive you to your success?

Also, I just did something for myself to help me, as I just started my own 8-week countdown Monday. For me, it was a new cross training bike (mountain/road combo)- better bicycle than any I've had in the past - to help make me excited about the cardio work I need to start doing if I am to achieve my goals. Maybe you could do something for yourself - a small 'gift' to you - to help inspire you.

    All the best!

  2. I love that you have set a goal and are going to have a place with a kitchen to stick with it. Its so easy to go overboard when you don't have some control over the eating part.

This place sounds wonderful, I look forward to hearing about all your tough girl workouts!

    Go Girl!
